Chelsea have gained revenge over Manchester United by securing the signing of Monaco explosive midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko for a fee approaching £40 million.
Bakayoko’s monstrous frame, composure on the ball and ability to make a tackle and convert defence into attack with a single defence-splitting pass has brought comparisons with Yaya Toure. Given the former Monaco star is only 22 years old and already has experience in the latter stages of the Champions league, £40 million pounds appears to be a steal for a player who could form the basis of Chelsea’s midfield for the next ten years.
With Bakayoko’s signing complete, Nemanja Matic is expected to rejoin Jose Mourinho at Manchester United for a similar figure.
